Always in that order. Each stage leaves you with something you keep, even if we stop there.
Understand
We sit with the people doing the work and map the process as it is: steps, owners, decisions, handoffs, tools, and the exceptions that never made it into the official version.
Systematize
We write the process down and clean it up: SOPs, an owner for every step, defined inputs and outputs. Most teams gain time at this stage before any software is involved.
Automate
Once the process is explicit, the candidates for automation are obvious. We build them with AI where it's the right tool, plain automation where it isn't, and a human check wherever a mistake would be expensive.

A typical engagement runs in five steps. Scope, timing and price get fixed once we've seen how the work runs.

The mapping phase touches every corner of the operation. The automations that come out of it are small, specific, and reviewed by a person before anything goes out.
Sales, delivery, admin, finance. We follow the work across departments because the bottleneck is usually in the handoff between them, where nobody is looking.
An agent follows the SOP we wrote together, does the repetitive part, and hands the result to a person for a yes or an edit. The team keeps the decision and stops doing the typing.
Draft follow-ups for the proposals that have gone quiet.
Three proposals have had no reply for over a week, so I drafted one follow-up each from the sales SOP template and the last thread with each client. Nothing goes out until you approve.
Judgement
For each bottleneck we ask the same question. What is the simplest thing that removes it reliably? There are three usual answers, and we'll tell you which one you're looking at.
Unstructured input and variable cases: triage, drafting, extraction, summaries. We build these with clear limits, a log of every action, and a person reviewing anything that could cost money.
If the logic fits in an if-this-then-that, it doesn't need a model. A script or an integration costs less and behaves the same way every time.
Sometimes the fix is a decision owner, a checklist, or one step removed. No software. That's still a deliverable, and it's usually the cheapest one.

No. AI is the tool we reach for most often right now, because it handles the messy, language-heavy work that used to need a person. But plenty of bottlenecks are solved by a script, an integration or a cleaner process. You pay for a bottleneck removed, whatever removes it.
Good. Most engagements run on the stack you already have, whether that's a CRM, a project tool or a pile of spreadsheets. Replacing tools is a last resort, and if your current ones are the real problem we'll say so.
The diagnostic call is free. Everything after it gets a written proposal with a fixed scope and price, once we've seen how the work runs. Discovery usually takes one to two weeks; a build, a few weeks to a couple of months depending on what we decide to automate.
Both, and it's the same team. We map and document the process, then build the automations ourselves. You can also stop after the recommendation and build with your own team; the documentation is written to make that possible.
